Job Description
The Warehouse/Shipping Coordinator position includes all duties associated with the shipping office. Responsible for all document preparation for shipments from New York Air Brake, LLC "NYAB" using SAP transactions, creating and maintaining manuals for instructions for the warehouse.
Essential Functions:
Assist in achieving KSP, SCE and DQI initiatives.
Prepare paperwork for all transactions whether it is LTL or full truckload shipments and communicate requirements to the appropriate trucking companies.
Prepare daily workload in AMS and OE areas for the warehouse associates and distribute to the stockroom for picking.
Coordinate with the sales and traffic personnel on any shipment related issues.
Work with customers' traffic departments and customer specific portals to ensure proper shipping of customer orders.
Daily interaction in a professional and ethical manner with NYAB SBU personnel and/or customers, venders and carriers to coordinate freight services to support manufacturing schedules and customer orders.
Assist with SAP WM cockpit, cycle counting and other warehouse type transactions when required.
Creating and maintaining documentation manual and instructions for the warehouse.
Establishes and maintains effective work relationships within the department as well as throughout the NYAB SBU's
Assures and maintains a safe and healthy working environment.
Follow any and all company policies, procedures, practices and standards of conduct as outlined by Knorr-Bremse & NYAB manuals.
Perform any additional assignments directed by management
May require overtime and some travel.
Required Skills
Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Strong organizational and prioritization skills
Basic knowledge of SAP
Knowledge of Microsoft Office to include Word & Excel
Ability to work in a team environment with a cross functional team of traffic, customs, purchasing, sales and other locations.
Ability to meet the knowledge, skills, abilities, physical requirements and working conditions set forth in the position responsibilities
Demonstrated understanding of basic manufacturing processes.
Effective leadership skills in a multifunctional, demanding environment.
Required Experience
1-2 Years relevant experience
Associate's degree required.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
