wpm with accuracy is a must:
compliance with HIPAA confidentiality standards when accessing or communicating patient information.
Ability to use a personal computer must have understanding of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, diagnostic procedures, pharmacology, and treatment assessments to the extent required to understand and accurately transcribe reports.
Must have ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to learn and use all functions of the electronic medical record software.
Must be proficient in Microsoft word, Excel and use of the internet to access information, prepare reports and research information Job Type:

A scribe documents a patients visit with the Physician for their medical record.
In order to document accurately, it is a necessity that you have experience and knowledge of Medical Terminology as it will be used by the clinic staff.
Patient Care experience is required for this role.
This position is at our Wound Care clinic and the scribe would be working near patients with wounds, so a background in healthcare is a must.
