Planned Parenthood of the North Country New York provides high-quality, affordable family planning and reproductive health care for nearly 12,000 women and men in the North Country each year no matter what.
We have seven health centers throughout Clinton, Franklin, Jefferson, Lewis, and St.
Lawrence counties.
The Administrative Assistant provides clerical and administrative support to ensure effective and efficient operations for all departments at PPNCNY.
This position provides support through scheduling meetings, preparing minutes, maintaining file systems and providing clerical support.
This position works closely with multiple departments to ensure efficiency and productivity agency wide.
Essential Duties Facilitates office operations to ensure maximum efficiency, productivity and high performance for all departments within the agency.
Provides administrative support and coordinate logistics including, but not limited to, maintaining appointment schedule by planning and scheduling meetings electronically, conferences, appearances and teleconferences.
Provides support to PPNCNY departments for various projects to enhance maximum efficiency.
Provides timely and appropriate responses to correspondence, email, telephone and walk-in inquiries.
Facilitates rapid and appropriate responses, continuous movement of projects and tracks the status of all projects and tasks.
Collects and maintains official agency records.
Maintains and organizes the central files and electronic files.
Performs receptionist duties at the Watertown Admin office, including answering telephones, screening visitors, copying and faxing, mail and postage.
Prepares minutes for committee meetings and other meetings as needed.
Responsible for scheduling all staff reservations including but not limited to, flights, conferences, hotels and other accommodations as needed.
Assure necessary paperwork is completed and maintained for accounts payable purposes.
Maintains systems for daily bank deposits, which include but are not limited to, insurance checks and EOB's, patient checks and cash.
Travels to bank daily and other errands as needed.
Assists HR with onboarding duties including but not limited to scheduling interviews, submitting background checks, reference checks and scheduling new employee orientation.
Responsible for mailing staff birthday cards and flowers arrangements as necessary and outlined in PPNCNY Standard Operating Procedures.
Monitor and track staff appreciation weeks.

Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to set priorities and organize concurrent projects, handle pressure, manage time effectively, exercise independent judgment and assume responsibility for reliable follow through.
Ability to effectively prepare minutes for committee meetings and of management team meetings through the use of speedwriting or shorthand.
Proficient computer skills; extensive Word and Excel and micro-soft office or other tracking tools necessary.
Demonstrated ability to deal with ambiguity and change, and to work effectively in a complex, dynamic organization.
Qualifications High School diploma or GED required.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Valid drivers license.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
