Duties Description STANDARD DUTIES:
As a Labor Services Representative, you would assist customers and provide a broad range of services to jobseekers and employers both on an individual basis and through group presentations.
You would interview customers to evaluate the nature of services desired, obtaining a complete work history including job experience, education, skills, salary ranges and job preferences.
You would identify barriers to employment and develop solutions to these barriers.
Intensive job placement assistance is key through developing skills-based resume, successful employment interview coaching, providing continuing job leads, conducting employment referrals and advocating for the job seeker when applying for a job.
You would provide information on resources available through the Department of Labor.
Additional Comments Position specific job duties may include occasional altered work schedule or job assignments which require availability and willingness to work occasional evenings and/or out-stationed assignments.
Candidates with no previous state service will begin at the starting rate of the salary range listed above.
