This position will serve as Director of Enrollment Programs for the North Country Prenatal Perinatal Council, Inc.
, and will provide programmatic and staff supervision for Health Insurance Navigation, Community Health Advocate, and other programs as assigned.
This position will provide direct supervision and training to staff, fulfill programmatic grant requirements including reporting, serve as a liaison between the agency and funders, and coordinate services with community organizations.
This position will also provide health insurance navigation and community health advocate services as needed.
Duties & Responsibilities Utilize established program resources and materials in program work.
Work to foster acceptance of the NYS of Health Marketplace and insurance options like Medicaid, Child Health Plus, Essential Plan, and Qualified Health Plans (QHP).
Utilize already-established materials for health insurance enrollment and post-enrollment issues.
Develop additional materials, utilizing NYSDOH guidelines, to target specific populations and issues.
Provide on-the-job training and serve as a resource for staff.
Serve as a liaison between agency and funders.
Assist consumers in completing insurance applications and understanding insurance options as needed.
Complete all required reports and submit them in a timely fashion.
Track spending, staff training requirements, and other aspects related to successful program delivery.
Assist with completion of reapplication process and new grant applications as appropriate.
Serve as a team member and cooperate with other programs and staff to achieve agency goals.
Assist in interacting with program participants to obtain evaluation data, to include satisfaction surveys, social determinants of health screens, and consumer stories.
Assist in the process of analyzing program data, and based on that analysis, make recommendations for improvements in program offerings including development of site schedules and outreach.
Assist in the communication of evaluation findings to constituents as appropriate.
Compile, edit and format existing program resources and program materials.
Assist in utilizing effective marketing strategies in the promotion of programming efforts to include, but not limited to print media, news media, social media, and multi-media efforts.
Effectively maintain professional relationships with other agencies, organizations and businesses that promote effective communication and facilitate continued programming efforts.
Complete initial training and participate in on-going professional development opportunities through webinars and in-person training.
Preferred Qualifications Demonstrated ability to organize paperwork and complete data entry.
Demonstrated ability to supervise staff and provide staff training.
Demonstrated ability to implement programs and coordinate services.
Demonstrated experience in grant procurement and grant writing.
Demonstrated ability to work independently to initiate, organize and implement established goals.
Demonstrated ability to participate in professional team efforts.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with culturally diverse populations among the targeted population.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively using oral, written, and visual means.
Demonstrated ability to utilize technology, specifically computer and word processing skills.
Bilingual fluency in both English and Spanish, as well as American Sign Language.
Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree in human services or related field, or relevant work-related experience.
Minimum 3 years' experience in service delivery and supervision.
Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality when necessary.
Valid NYS Driver's License and the ability to meet travel requirements associated with this position.
Ability to meet acceptable background check standards, as required.
Ability to work flexible hours which may include evenings and/or weekends, as appropriate.
