Your primary job will be specific to the check-In position.
We require exceptional customer service as your principal role will include, greeting and communicating with patients, answering calls and fielding them accordingly.
We prefer candidates who have had some experience in a medical receptionist role, and is familiar with EMR systems such as Medent.
Salary is based on experience and qualifications.
Responsibilities/Duties:
Opens front office for the day.
Greet patients and visitors in a warm and friendly manner, and answer any questions visitors have.
Answering and placing phone calls in a professional manner and routing calls as necessary.
Schedule/maintain office appointments within EMR (electronic medical record) Collect co-pays Chart prepping Maintains and manages incoming and outgoing electronic facsimiles Obtains medical records as needed from outside facilities Schedule medical scans (as needed) Operate standard office equipment on a regular basis, including a scanner, a copy machine, and a computer Keep detailed and accurate records of visitor/patient requests and of calls received Receive deliveries; Take inventory of supplies and restock as needed Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Must have a kind and pleasant personality Strong phone skills Maintains a positive, patient and professional attitude at all times regarding customer care High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required 2-3 years of relevant experience in a medical office environment preferred but will train the right candidate.
Knowledgeable of Microsoft Office, internet software, computer and keyboard skills MEDENT electronic medical record experience is preferable, but EMR experience is required.
Demonstrated ability to read, write, and speak English Comfortable multi-tasking and prioritizing tasks without guidance Punctual with strong attendance history Must always present professional appearance and good hygiene Able to contribute positively as part of a team, helping out with various tasks as required
